road work
Blogging on
my pda sucks.
Not that my pda sucks in any way, it’s just less than convenient to type an entry on the little screen without an external keyboard (my birthday’s coming soon *cough cough* bluetooth left-handed *cough cough*).
Anyway, I’m confined to this prison of tiny soft-keyboard because the pavement is being re-done in the half-gated community that Becky lives in. So there isn’t a massive hysterical riot they are doing half of the community today and half tomorrow. Today is in front of Becky’s house. They started at 07:00 and closed the street to cars until tomorrow at the same time. As a result, all of the streets in the open half are ridiculously crowded with no place to park. Anticipating this, Becky left her car at the church (since we were over there for high school group) and I dropped her off as close to her house as I could. Anyway, my computer, with its full-size luxurious keyboard, is inside Becky’s house. I never went inside Becky’s house today. I’m at my house, on my bed, using my pda’s miniscule built-in software keyboard tapping away on virtual keys with my stylus.
So I suppose you want to hear about my day. Too bad. This is annoying and I’m tired. I’ll add to this entry tomorrow at work.
I’m back.
So yesterday after I got, I brushed my teeth. That way I don’t stink and my teeth get clean. Double whammy! Well, a few days ago I ran out of toothpaste, so I went to the store to buy some more. When making my purchasing decision, I decided to go with something new. I tried the New Crest Whitening Expressions Refreshing Vanilla Mint. I must say, I’ve very happy with this product. It’s like brushing your teeth with ice cream! Except it doesn’t melt. And it actually gets your teeth clean. And it stays on the brush. Notwithstanding, I highly recommend this product to those of you that remember the bubble-gum flavored toothpaste days.
After my monumental teeth-brushing, I was off to do some monumental work. Or at least sit at my desk for a day.
I sat at my desk for a day.
On my way home, Becky called and reminded me about the road work that was taking place in her neighborhood. Since we had HS group tonight, we opted for the we-just-go-straight-to-church approach (that was an awkward sentence, but I like my use of the word opted). So we went straight to church.
A couple of months ago I asked Scott (the youth minister) if it would be okay if I stopped doing tech stuff (running the switcher, running medishout, running sound, or running lights) and asked if it would be okay if I just was a leader on the floor relating to the students. He agreed.
Well, last night, there was a scheduling mix-up or something, because when I went upstairs to check if everything was okay, there was only one person running mediashout instead of the three-person minimum required to run a show in this room. So I stepped up and run the switcher, camera, and a bit of sound and lights.
After HS group Becky and I couldn’t go to her house, so we went to IHOP for a late-night dinner. I got an omelette with a short stack. Becky got scrambled eggs and hash browns with a short stack. Yummy.
Dropped Becky off near her house, and I went to mine to start this blog on my pda. You know how that turned out.

Why the left-handed model?
BTW…I see you got the menu bar on the right working.

The left-handed model because that way I can use my mouse with my right hand should I use the frogpad with my PC.

I too stumbled upon the Crest Whitening Expressions Vanilla Mint a couple of months ago…I think it was on sale and I needed a tube of toothpaste for the office. It is indeed quite refreshing!
