Thursday food
After work (that’s essentially when my day began) Becky and I decided to go out to the Old Spaghetti Factory to eat. More accurately, I decided to go to the Old Spaghetti Factory and Becky didn’t disagree (mmmm mizithra). We drove down to the closest one in Newport. Now parking is always a problem down in this neck of the peninsula, so luckily they have valet. Well, the valet lot was full too. Apparently Thursday evening is a big night for the Old Spaghetti Factory. So we decided to abandon the OSF idea and go to Polly’s instead.
We drove up there, and noticed thait was fairly crowded there too. I guess Thursday’s the new Friday. Tell your friends.
We debated amongst each other (silently) for our pre-determined time interval of 2.6 minutes (which is, purely coincidentally, the half-life of Ba-137m). We decided against further travel to fulfill our bodily needs. They quoted us twenty minutes. We were seated in fifteen.
After we ate, we drove back to Becky’s house.
A while ago, I blogged about getting a new (read: old) video camera off eBay to view some old home videos. Anyway, at that time I asked my parents to send me all of the old videos so I can convert them to DVD and send ‘em back.
The package arrived at Becky’s house yesterday, but since I didn’t actually go into Becky’s house yesterday, I got it today. We cracked the old box open and started watching some. We were able to transport ourselves through time and space to arrive in Las Vegas, NV, Christmas Day, 1993. Boy am I a cute kid. I’ll post some stills once I get my hands on an analog capture card.

So….does that mean you didn’t eat. Or did you fight the crowd at Polly’s?
For me, Thursday is Friday every other week, when I have Friday off!

You got that right you were cute and you still are. I thought for sure you would say a special thanks to Alfred.

[...] We had been here a few times before (really good sausage platter) and I enjoyed it, so we weren’t opposed to going again. Since it was Thursday, Becky and I ordered beer. I got the Red Trolley Ale, Becky got the Amber Lager. It was good. We decided to share a pizza for our main course, but I got a cup of clam chowder to start and Becky got a salad. [...]
