Shopping and Shopping

December 31st, 2006 by Kurt

Yesterday we went shopping. A whole bunch of it.

The day started at about 11:30 for us. I rolled out of bed because my bladder would not oblige me to slumber any longer. Becky was able to ignore the pleading of her own, so she slept a bit longer. After I relieved myself, I went over to the computer and played a bit of Oblivion. I’ve got a Wood Elf Acrobat/Thief/Archer that’s pretty sweet.

Once my wife awoke, we drove down to South Coast Plaza. We sauntered around for a while, ate lunch at the Rainforest Café. We got sub-par service, but the pasta was really good.

As we sauntered, we decided to visit a couple of the stores so expensive that we wouldn’t be able to afford even the salespersons nametags. We visited the Louis Vuitton store, Bang & Olufsen, and the Tourneau store.

We also visited Nordstrom where Becky and I spent some Christmas gift cards we had received. I got new shoes.

We then ventured across the street to Metro Pointe to attempt to catch a moviefilm. We failed. There wasn’t anything that appealed to the pair of us that was playing at a reasonable time, so we crossed the parking lot, spent a Best Buy gift card on Family Guy Season 3 and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest. Then we went next door to Becky’s alma mater The Container Store (They are currently having their annual Elfa sale if anyone is interested).

The we went home and watched Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest. Good times.
