Busy for a Weeknight

October 30th, 2007 by Kurt

Yesterday (29 Oct) Becky and I did a bunch of stuff. We both went to work, nothing much else to say there. After work, Becky wanted to go look for costume ideas, so We went to Kohl’s. We found a bit of Becky’s costume, but she still needed more, so we went to Target. Becky found what she was looking for, and so did I: Guitar Hero III for the Wii. Heck yeah.

On our way home, we found a new Italian place to eat, so we gave it a try. It is called Davio’s Italian Grill. The atmosphere was really nice: modern with a classic feel. They brought us bread with cheese, tomatoes and a minced olive spread. Fantastic. I ordered the combination, which consisted of veal, stuffed mushrooms and lasagna. Becky ordered the ravioli. The stuffed mushrooms were fantastic, but the veal and the lasagna was bland. It was overall disappointing because the atmosphere and appetizers were so nice.

After dinner, we went home and rocked the Guitar Hero for a while. Becky did pretty well, and it was pretty funny to watch. After playing for a bit, we switched back over so Becky could watch Dancing With the Stars. When we did so, no audio was coming out of our speakers. I did a good bit of troubleshooting and concluded that our DVR box just wasn’t outputting any audio. So I called Time Warner and the automated voice reminded me to reboot before actually speaking with a person. I was hesitant to do so, because it was still recording. I went through with it, unplugged the machine and plugged it back in. The audio came up straight away. When Becky watched the recorded show, we found out that I had inadvertently time the reboot exact to coincide with a commercial break. She didn’t miss anything!

I indulged my addiction to World of Warcraft while Becky watched Dancing With the Stars. Then we both enjoyed a new episode of Heroes.

Then we went to sleep. In Bed.
