Halloween and Catching Up

November 1st, 2007 by Kurt

So, Here we are the first of November. Unless you are reading this more than 30 but less than 366 from when I originally posted this.

Last night was Hallowe’en. Becky and dressed up in costumes and went the the first ever First Christian Church High School Kegger. Haha! We had a keg of root beer! Haha! Good clean fun! sigh… Tonight, I’ll upload some pictures of the event.

As I hope you can tell, I’ve decided to become more regular with my posts. If I can’t post all the events of my day, I’ll at least post a summary.

So big news. For those of you that don’t know. Becky and I moved. We got a letter from our management company sometime at the start of September indicating that the owner of our condo wanted to move back in and we had 60 days until we were out on the street. We spent a number of exhausting weekend driving around and calling numbers on for rent signs. I made a spreadsheet. After one particular night of driving around, Becky mentioned that she saw a sign on the other side of the complex. Miraculously, she remembered the number (Eidetic memory maybe?) and called. There was indeed a place for rent in the same complex we were currently living, but on the other side. It was twice as big (2 bed, 1.5 bath) upstairs and downstairs. We scheduled a time to look at it, and moved in the last weekend in September!

The new place isn’t without problems (the upstairs bathroom is where most of the problems seem to congregate), but we couldn’t be happier.

We’ve worked on some improvements; new light switches and electrical outlets, new caulking in the bathrooms, a new front door handle, and a new dining room chandelier, so we’re making it home.
