Someone stole my radio

April 3rd, 2008 by Kurt

I Went to my car to go to work yesterday morning (2 April 2008) and I noticed that the contents of my glove compartment were on the floor. Then I noticed the passenger side door was unlocked. Then I noticed the gaping hole in my console where my after-market radio used to be.

So I called the police when I got home from work and an officer came by to take my statement. Luckily, I still have the box the radio came in so the officer made a note of the exact model and serial number. Then CSI came and took prints off of the window. It looked to my untrained eyes like they got some good prints.

More info later.

Bummer! Billy came home and said that you two missed youth group due to your car being “vandalized”. We were trying to figure out what that meant exactly. Now we know. More of a theft than vandalization. Hopefully all of those fingerprints aren’t just yours and Becky’s but the thief’s.

kurt, sorry to hear about your radio, but i’m one up on you, i lost a kidney. Beat that! CSI could get no prints. But I know the perpetrator, Dr. M. Kaplan!

HA! You got a police to come and take a statement? My car was broke into on New Years Day and they did a little statement over the phone and that was that. I think I even heard “sucka” in the background. Such is life in Oakland, CA….
