Swarms

So far in the past three weeks I have seen a bee swarm twice. Just like a cartoon. A giant buzzing crazy mass of bees. I wonder if they were killer bees? I wanted to mention this because I have never been stung. I don’t want to be stung. Once at drill team in high school I witnessed a girl get stung – it happened before my very eyes there on the grass by the baseball practice field. Then a few years ago I told Kurt that I would go home from whatever I am doing if I get stung. For example if I were at school and I got stung, I’d go home. When I saw the swarms I thought I was dead meat -like McCauley Culkin in My Girl. I didn’t die, thank goodness so says I.

    I think I witnessed said bee sting incident. She was teaching our group out to jump up in splits or whatever—not like I have ever been able to do that!

    I saw a swarm like that too! Over by HCS. Scared the livin’ daylights out of me. First you hear it, then you see it, then you run like heck!!! Scary stuff indeed!

    What’s with all the bugs this year? First we had a ladybug invasion. This last week I observed an inordinate number of “stink bugs”. Now bees? The bees are a good sign though. Apparently alot of hives were knocked out last year due to a virus. Next time you see one, grab the queen and start your own hive. :)

    Oh my Gosh!!!! Around our pool I saw a bunch of “stink bugs”! I’ve never seen those here before…only at church camp when I was a kid! Where did those come from all of the sudden!!!

    The more I think about this it makes me realize this: more bugs=more spiders. Spider season in the fall is going to be fun. Ewww….

    That’s crazy! I’ve never been stung either, knocking on wood as I type this..which is hard…
    Anyway, don’t get stung!

    Update: When Kurt’s parent were in town this weekend (5/3), we saw another swarm.

    Just for info…one of our baseball friends said she saw a June Bug yesterday. June But season outta be fun after the stink bug invasion of ’08.
