Someone stole my radio

Thursday, April 3rd, 2008

I Went to my car to go to work yesterday morning (2 April 2008) and I noticed that the contents of my glove compartment were on the floor. Then I noticed the passenger side door was unlocked. Then I noticed the gaping hole in my console where my after-market radio used to be.

So I called the police when I got home from work and an officer came by to take my statement. Luckily, I still have the box the radio came in so the officer made a note of the exact model and serial number. Then CSI came and took prints off of the window. It looked to my untrained eyes like they got some good prints.

More info later.

Second Weekend in March

Tuesday, March 11th, 2008

This weekend we had fun. So take that! Friday night Becky and I drove up to the Disneyland resort and ate dinner at Naples Ristorante. Two words: Fried Mozzarella. Seriously, it was the best either of us have tasted. After dinner we walked around Disneyland for a bit, then stopped by Starbucks to get a hot beverage on our way home. It was nice and relaxing.

Follow-Ups

Tuesday, March 4th, 2008

Remember when we got our Time Warner DVR replaced? In that post, I complained that this new one didn’t have a timeline. Well, it does now. Also when someone calls our home phone, an icon pops up on the screen of our television with the number calling. Nifty! I guess it just took a couple days to get used to our home.

More of the Same

Wednesday, February 20th, 2008

Did everyone see the lunar eclipse? Pretty sweet. We had high school group tonight and Scott (the High School Minister) let me come up and talk a bit about the eclipse and lead all the kids outside to look at it. That’s awesome.

Lent and a Weekend

Tuesday, February 12th, 2008

Lent began last week. This year, I decided to give up red meat from Ash Wednesday until Easter. Now, I’m not Catholic, and even if I were that’s not exactly what’s prescribed for Lent. But I felt like doing it as an exercise in self-control, and Lent is just a convenient time to do it. So, I’ve been eating turkey and fish in its place. I even ordered a Gardenburgerâ„¢ at a restaurant this weekend.
It hasn’t been nearly as bad as I imagined it.

Kick off Christmas Weekend

Wednesday, December 5th, 2007

Becky and I spent this past weekend kicking off the Christmas season. On Friday we endured the pouring rain and went Christmas shopping. We started out at Cost Plus World Market to get some neat gifts. When we arrived it was difficult to miss the fact that there were a number of emergency vehicles outside, lights flashing. As we walked in we saw a team of paramedics being directed to one side of the store by store personnel. We began shopping while gawking at the paramedic activities. It turned out that a customer collapsed and depending on your source might have seized a little bit. He was able to stand by the time we saw him. The paramedics put him on a stretcher and wheeled him out of the store. It had the potential to be much more exciting that it actually was.

Back to Work Monday

Monday, November 26th, 2007

Becky and I had a fantastic Thanksgiving at John’s house. We enjoyed the comfort of friends, family, food, fellowship and felines.

On Friday, Becky and Sharon enjoyed a nice long shopping day, and I enjoyed a nice long day of Gears or War and World of Warcaft.

Alas, today is Monday. That means we all must go back to work. I must say, I enjoyed the 3-on 4-off scheduled of last week. I’ll put it in the suggestion box.

Busy for a Weeknight

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

Yesterday (29 Oct) Becky and I did a bunch of stuff. We both went to work, nothing much else to say there. After work, Becky wanted to go look for costume ideas, so We went to Kohl’s. We found a bit of Becky’s costume, but she still needed more, so we went to Target. Becky found what she was looking for, and so did I: Guitar Hero III for the Wii. Heck yeah.
