After a long day of catching shuttles, trains and planes, we’re home!
We woke up in Paris, went through London and we will go to sleep tonight at home.
Thanks for all your prayers and safe wishes, and stay tuned for a full travel report.
We are now in Paris.
We had a fantastic time in London, full details to come later.
Since arriving in Paris, we have seen the works at the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, Sacré-Coeur (we can see it from our hotel room), we have walked along L’avenue des Champs-Élysées, and smelled our share of the city. We also had crepes. Nice!
Sunday 3 June – purchased an all-day travelcard, went to Westminster station saw one of London’s most famous landmarks: the clock tower at the parliament building (Big Ben). Had a look at the London Eye, went to Westminster Abbey. It was closed, so we walked up Whitehall to Trafalgar Square. We ate lunch a nice little pizza café a bit North of Trafalgar. We walked down The Mall along the street since it is closed to traffic on Sundays so we got great views up to Queen Victoria’s Memorial and Buckingham Palace.

I finished college (university). Just now. I just got home from completing my last final. Once the paperwork is complete, I will be the proud holder of a bachelors of science majoring in applied mathematics with an emphasis in science and engineering and a minor in physics.
Life, here I come.
Even though Becky and I are still not fully over our colds, we had a rather enjoyable weekend.
Saturday (4 May) we slept in until mid-morning, took some cough medicine. We got ready for the day, and lunched at Mimi’s Cafe together. I wanted to try my hand and my family recipe of homemade pizza, so we went by the grocery store to pick up the surprisingly few ingredients. Went back home and started making the dough. It seemed a little heavy to me, so we decided to make two different pizzas. One we made with my family recipe, one we made with dough from a breadmaker recipe. We left both doughs to rise and left for the Saturday night service at our church. (more…)
I got a Wii this weekend.
I’ve had the desire to purchase one since the first reports of the innovative controls, but I didn’t want to fight to get one at launch, and I was (am still) busy with school. During spring break, a friend let me borrow his Wii while he was out of town, and I came to love it even more. I pleaded with my wife and she conceded to allow me to purchase one.
