Girl Gone Child + Me + Twitter
Wednesday, January 11th, 2012I am a big time blog reader. I have been using Google Reader since 2006 or 2007…
I read blogs of people I know and people I don’t know (but wish I did). Or people I know but wish I didn’t… JUST KIDDING.
Anyway. This is about one particularly cool interaction with a famous blogger (14,000+ twitter followers can’t be wrong) that I had read for about 2 years now.
Here’s the deal – she makes me laugh out loud (and I do NOT ever say LOL). So, this one day, last week, I twittered to her and she twittered me back. That’s the story and I think it was awesome.
It was, you know, no big deal. But I thought it was rad. And then I thought I’d share it with the whole world.
My 33rd Birthday!

Sunday, January 8th, 2012Last day of 2011
Sunday, January 8th, 2012We ate lunch at Five Guys and then went shopping at Whole Foods for healthy treats for our New Year’s Eve party. This is life’s greatest (an most delicious) hypocrisy. Okay, maybe not the greatest but definitely it rates in the food category.

The middle of the day was standard and included a NAP.
Then we went to the party and the fam had a present for Peter that they found when they put their tree away. WHALES!

Happy New Year!
Second to last day of the year 2011
Sunday, January 8th, 2012Mom, Peter and I went to Seal Beach for a walk and lunch.
We went to Ruby’s on the pier. It was funny because we ate at the counter. That means we sat on STOOLS. Yeah, Peter sat on a backless stool. He only nearly fell off once. Mom and I saved him. Oh man.

Here is the Peter Mac. This is the boat the drops off the oil workers to the rigs in the ocean. We see it almost everytime we are there. It is weird that people work like that out there… in the ocean.

This is Peter and Grammy saying the word BOAT over and over.

Date Night: LOVE
Sunday, January 1st, 2012Ken and Rita (aka Mom and Dad) gave us tickets to see the Cirque Du Soleil show: The Beatles LOVE at the Mirage.
We made reservations for Mon Ami Gabi for dinner.
Followed by a walk to the Mirage for the show.
Here’s some shots in the gift shop.
This guitar is signed by all 4 BEATLES.

This rug… Neat buy why? Who’d buy it!?

My favorite exterior on the strip.

Waiting for our car at the valet… we suddenly hear jingle bells… is it Santa?! No…. it’s….

This Girlfriend?? Wife?? Prostitute?? Skank?? Nobody knows who she was… but she was wearing thigh-high fishnets (w/the seam up the back AND bows), sequined shorts, sequined “blazer” and to top it off, at the top of the seam on her upper leg/lower butt she had jingle bells that shook when she walked.

Kurt said she was a hooker. I think he was correct.
Ethel M
Sunday, January 1st, 2012We went to the Ethel M Chocolate factory tour.
They gave us a chocolate coin as we exited the tour. I got dark!

Then we went outside and walked through the cactus winter wonderland lights. It got prettier and prettier as it got darker outside!
I asked the guy who and how they put these on and take them off. He said that they use a stick with a nail on it. Huh?! Well, as they say, where there’s a will there’s a way.
